True story: met a young man today with the big Hummer. Said he drove in with his family to B'way the other nite to see a show; no garage would take the vehicle. He finally left it in the street with the keys inside. Came out after the show and it was still there! No one took it and no one ticketed him! (By the way, he got 9 mpg on the round trip from LI).
Thanks, that's funny! I think the garage wouldn't take it not as a form of political protest, but because the thing must be too damn big to maneuver in the garage. I guess no one stole it from the street because they could never afford the gas. I don't know why he wasn't ticketed. Maybe the cops couldn't reach the windshield.
